Scout X

The Scout-X is a high-performance, versatile, and fully customizable image and video platform. User friendly and rapidly deployable, the Scout-X is built to be the imaging tool for the advanced and demanding Flexnet user.

Scout X

The Scout-X is activated by other sensors over the radio network or by a PIR Module attached via cable. After activation, the motion control sequence starts for a pre-set time, configured by the operator. The built-in image processing function detects motion and activates the camera to capture image data. The high-resolution images and video (up to 45Mpixels and 4k video) are stored locally, then compressed to small previews and transmitted back to the base station using encrypted (AES-256) communication.

Capability

  • Virtual PTZ: Zoom in on an object to get more details of an area. A zoom factor comparable to 300x versus the Flexnet preview can be achieved with the Z9.

  • Support for 3G-SDI cameras: The Scout-X can support any camera conforming to the 3G-SDI standard up to resolution of 1080p60.

  • The Scout-X platform is built to enable quick integration of function from USB or SDI cameras controllable through USB or UART.

Advanced motion detection algorithms detect any motion in the user’s defined areas of interest. Before, during and after an event, the camera can take single or multiple images. The Scout-X uses advanced compression technology to allow fast transmission over the low bandwidth network despite the huge size of the original imagery. It has a storage capacity of several thousand images and videos.

The Scout-X core release comes with a Nikon Z9 enabling long range surveillance and detection. With the standard Nikon Z9 the user has a huge range of lens options, and the Scout-X operates with any lens that the Z9 camera supports. The low light performance of the Z9 is one of the best in the world for DSLR cameras.
