Bertin Exensor Enters Strategic Collaboration with Micropol Fiberoptic

Through the collaboration, Micropol Fiberoptic will deliver tactical fiber optic infrastructure, including ruggedized tactical cabling and Falcon Expanded Beam connectors, for integration into Bertin Exensor’s advanced sensor platform.

Micropol’s fiber optic solution enables the system’s sensors to remain fully passive and highly difficult to detect, significantly enhancing operational stealth and survivability. The solution enables reliable operation in environments where radio communication is limited, denied, or for any other reasons unsuitable.

“We are proud to support Bertin Exensor with advanced fiber optic technology for next-generation tactical sensing applications,” said Mikael Andersson, Chief Technology Officer
at Micropol Fiberoptic. “Our solution provides secure and robust communication capabilities designed for demanding operational environments.”

“The collaboration with Micropol Fiberoptic strengthens the stealth of our Flexnet T-UGS (Tactical Unattended Ground Sensor system). By integrating a robust fiber optic infrastructure as an optional means of communication, we enhance and extend the usability of our platform.” said Erik Hedén, Technical Director at Bertin Exensor AB.
“Together, we deliver technology that meets the fast evolving electronic warfare demands in the defence and security sector worldwide.”

The collaboration further strengthens Micropol Fiberoptic’s position as a supplier of advanced tactical fiber optic solutions for defense and security applications.
